not much substance in the article, sadly. There really needs to be some solid evidence on the mechanism and causes - which would be very interesting and a great opportunity for a follow-up.

the word "propaganda" implies there is a strategy at play. He does not have a strategy. He has advanced dementia and cognitive decline.

The "Emperor's new propaganda" (entirely done by others and passed along) is the "projection" of many persons' secret fantasies and also their need to blame others (which he does relentlessly for anyone not himself) for their own weaknesses, fears and failures. It's a complete con job, but primed 24 by 7 by 365 by media lies and distortions. It's a very closed circle, like a cult. The con?
