When I use a urinal I do not aim directly on front but instead to the curved lower part. That helps guide my urine down; virtually eliminating all splash back!

I cannot say I have a big problem with urinal design, but I do take significant issue with standard installation practices. I am an average height dude, yet many urinals seem to be installed as if the intended audience are all basketball players. Far too high such that I can imagine a decent chunk of users might have to aim up and or stand on their toes.

For those looking: Fig 4a, the right 2 designs are the winner. https://academic.oup.com/view-large/figure/512223725/pgaf087... I do recall there was another story of putting a "target" at the right place in existing urinals significantly improved cleanliness
