Show HN: Prices.eu.org
When Ox-alpha was free I had it build this EU price index/tracker (the build took 40+ hours). Gemini deep research found the sources. Currently it tracks: - Fuel - Electricity - Currency - Housing - Groceries - Wages - Purchasing power

the pages are static html generated every day. also there is no google analytics, fb pixel, cookies etc. just a clean, fast site that updates its pages every day from official sources.

questionable data sources which wont tell you the real prices, for instance N95 in Tank Ono station in Prague today cost 1.729EUR (41.5CZK) same with groceries where statistical bureaues usually report some average prices nobody use to buy things for, when everyone buys all groceries in promotion and price in promotion vs regular price can be very different thing in different countries, so countries which have smaller difference between regular and promo price will appear cheaper, while countries where promo prices are much lower than regular prices will appear more expensive big mac price you show in Czechia in local currency 115 CZK, while the real price is 125 CZK, I checked both restaurants nearby my house https://www.mcdonalds.cz/ceny-a-alergeny/

I like this but the trends and comparisons would much easier to see/do if the data were presented as a chart.

I like the idea! Two things I would like to see there: 1. In Poland we don't have Euro - I would love to see a switch / dropdown to change the currency for displayed prices. a) Also I think it will be convenient to for US based people to see the prices in USD 2. Oil prices are changing so fast recently. I've verified those for Poland - those are not up-to-date: https://prices.eu.org/fuel/poland/ Refreshing them daily might be helpful in this case.
