I get what your Grandpa went through. I taught myself to code and started building real software in my 50s, long after most people in tech would call it a normal starting point. My background is in the construction industry, so this change was a completely different experience. It changed my life. "A big construction is always completed late" line is the right way to put it. Don't fall to the trap of "fear of missing out". Good things in life always take time and they will come into your life at the right time, not when you want them to happen.
