One of the things that bother me is that a lot of their language around the tracking technology is "We don't do x with it" But that doesnt rule out someone thats not affiliated with LG to use those features to perform various levels of surveillance. IMHO I think there is more to what LG is telling the public. There is no reason for the level of adversarial tech and dark patterns in the UI if you are not doing something shady with it.
