> phone calls (I can't try right now) Does it record phone calls and then transcribes? Does it announce itself on the call? Edit: I quickly installed the app, seems like you become the MITM, where you call the other party. Interesting solution.

Man that Apple Watch strap is GORGEOUS. And an Apple Watch app is a great idea for this! But I just can’t bring myself to try out ANOTHER meeting notetaker app. The space just feels so commoditised. How different will this be to Fireflies? Or the six dozen others? Getting that strap would absolutely work as a bribe though. I love it…

I'd love something like this for the Apple Watch but with local (iPhone) or self-hosted processing using whisper/parakeet/etc.

pretty dope product - but who are these things made for ? if most companies are forcing people to attend meetings in person - are people recording in-person meetings ?

how bad does the app burn battery life for your watch?

Granola terrifies me. It’s highly capable at summarisation, and seems to be free. What’s the catch? Generally speaking, if something is free then my attention or my data tends to be the product – and when that thing runs in the background on my Mac, has access to my microphone, my calendar data and my private meeting notes, that is potentially very scary indeed.
