How is posting an article about the sexual exploitation of minors in the UK “hideously racist”? Is it because the perpetrators in that case are, majority wise from one ethnic background? There are uncomfortable truths in the world, it sucks.

Even ignoring Hansson's racism and general assholery, can Linux users please start treating OSes like infrastructure and not like costumes? Just use Mint (or Fedora if feeling adventurous) on PCs and Debian on servers. Nobody can build anything if the ground keeps shifting.

I was actually thinking about this yesterday. A government's function is analogous to a parent, i.e. protecting the people it's responsible is priority #1. If it consistently refuses to do that, then that's not quite a government anymore, by definition.
