That's a fantastically stupid idea which will irritate untold number of people, raising the price of flights even more, likely negatively affecting airlines bottom line. If they keep it up perhaps they can kill off a few more airlines in addition to Spirit. I sincerely hope they follow through with this absurdity and implement it prior to the world cup. The faster they make things worse, especially for absolutely no reason, the more likely they are to be pummeled in the midterms, which is a win for every sane person in this country.

So they are going to give up hubs like New York or Chicago? What is going to replace them? Atlanta is big airport, but not that big.
