Big news for the open source diabetes community; the Omnipod 5 has been cracked, enabling its use with opensource applications Loop and Trio, with AndroidAPS coming soon. This is no small technical feat, and is a lifeline since the old Omnipod Dash is being phased out in many countries. Other modern insulin pumps like the Ypsopump remain unhackable due to strong integrity, unfortunately.
