Look. Zitron always gets shit on in HN because he's wrong a lot about scope and scale and stuff and gets fixated on stuff that basically doesn't matter like ARR being ARR. I don't think fans care. It's that he fights these peeps who are basically in mediocre or bad faith with regards to folks, and that gets counted as a mitzvah.

This is a sincere and vulnerable question but can somebody help me understand what kind of mindset it takes to write something like this and not feel like a total scummy scammer person: > If you liked this piece, you should subscribe to my premium newsletter. It’s $70 a year, $17 a quarter, or $7 a month, and in return you get a weekly newsletter that’s usually anywhere from 10,000 to 18,000 words, including vast, detailed analyses of NVIDIA, Anthropic and OpenAI’s finances, and the AI bubble writ large. It’s so overwhelmingly clear to me that people who do this, get paid. So its clearly effective. I’d love somebody else who’s figured this out to explain it to me.

This piece is so incredibly lazy. It's essentially an inventory of grievances the author has heard, each one poorly articulated and poorly supported. It aims to get points for completeness so it's lengthy, though every argument (even the valid ones!) are an inch deep. It ironically would have benefitted from a simple critique by the Claude of two years ago.
