I recently tried it as a solopreneur (you don't really need to leave your job anymore since AI multiplied early-stage coding capacity significantly). Even on my tiny niche (notekeeper + AI assistant for dungeons and dragons), there's a ridiculous amount of competition (1). I think these are the times of "marketing engineers", aka people who manage to make small tools/gimmicks that draw attention on social media. If you figure out how to do this, you'll be the king of the age of AI software. [1] Fun fact: the demographics that plays DnD either hates AI (half of them) or now vibe-codes their own tools (the other half)
