My friend Greg often posts incredible things he just made, just for fun. Often, I don't realize that it's something HE made and then I see the URL, AND IT'S MY FRIEND, GREG! A few things he made that I think are amazing: - ikea complexity index: https://ikea.greg.technology/ - Boing: https://boing.greg.technology/ I want to make sure I don't miss anything from him, so I created this Chrome extension that flags things posted by Greg, or linking to his website or a subdomain. I hope other people will install the extension and never miss anything Greg made.

I’m obviously biased, but I’m also extremely grateful. Thank you!!!!

This is awesome! The idea can be generalized too: - Highlight comments from a customizable set of particular authors - Highlight commenters that reply within their subthreads But of course, that loses some of the charm of working just for Greg :)

I didn't know I needed this, thank you!!! Also, hi Antoine!

Please don’t turn this into an e-celebrity twitter clone with all that circlejerking, it would be even better to remove the authors name, just whatever the content/comment is posted that matters, someone might like a post from an author but don’t like the other post, seeing the author might prevent proper criticism or add bias, an author-anonymous contents are the best.

This is helpful but I'm worried about false negatives, are you working on more advanced greg detecting algorithms?

jmgrosen

hope to get a greg collab on here sometime

I haven't seen Greg's stuff before, but I discovered Disco through this, and it looks neat: https://disco.cloud/

I lent Greg a Minivac 601 for a week or so last month. He returned it in a big zippered bag, which I stole because it was pouring rain and I needed to bring the Minivac back to my car. I was going to return it at the MIT swapfest in a week, but I think he can't make it anymore. Sorry Greg!
