Oh this is lovely. I started doing something similar, but I was generating the stage based on the DOM and some CSS features, but kept getting weird boundaries (read: the character would float on unseen edges) I later thought about using an edge-detection algorithm to capture the page as an image (triggered on page events), but never fully implemented it and shelved the project. I would love to know how you captured the visible edges

I am the creator of Page Rage ( https://page-rage.com/ ), which I released about two weeks ago. Page Rage didn't get too much traction on Hacker News ( https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49746963 ), but it did end up being a top post on r/webdev ( https://www.reddit.com/r/webdev/comments/1whepc7/page_rage_d... ) and r/playmygame ( https://www.reddit.com/r/playmygame/comments/1whfp3g/my_firs... ) The linked project "Destroy any website" makes it's own distinct creative and gameplay choices. It may have been inspired by Page Rage or it may have been a case of "multiple discovery". Either way, "Destroy any website" is not a low quality slop clone, it's clearly had a lot of thought put into it
