‘A chatbot account associated with the engineer’s spouse, which shared identifiers with his own account, submitted prompts about building and concealing a continuous audio recorder, adding Wi-Fi connectivity, listening remotely and encrypting its memory card, according to the complaint.‘ Wonder what the ‘chatbot’ in question was and why it wasn’t named. A competitor?

This is nothing compared to killing and dismembering the occasional journalist. A mere trifle. Only humans were bugged, no AI persons were infringed on. Trump will let the Saudi National off. He's friends with the current ruler of KSA.

A very stupid thing to do, but I can't help but think that if the shoe were on the other foot, say, if an OpenAI agent had escaped its harness and hacked a speakerphone in the office of HuggingFace, they would shrug and no consequences would follow.
