It's an issue! As someone who's worked on science policy for decades, including time in the Beltway, you cannot develop a robust and world-leading science policy strategy with technologists alone!

Big f'ing surprise.

I bet we see some incredible vaccines released in the near future. We'll be sending patients to cure their cancer regularly on Mars.

This feels like regulatory capture by the tech industry. Academic research needs representation as well.

Everyday a new low. I shouldnt be surprised, but i cant believe someone could be so self serving and selfish.

Not that it matters much, pretty sure Trump is inadvisable.

We should insist on the proper name, "oligarchs", perhaps with the adjective "Trump crony".

> focus on the opportunities and challenges that emerging technologies present to the American worker… None of the billionaires care about the challenges of these technologies to the American worker. One of them laid off 30,000 workers yesterday, and the rest have laid off hundreds of thousands more directly (in their words) BECAUSE of AI / emerging technologies. Just feels hypocritical and disrespectful
