This could be a generational mistake from altman. I could imagine that some article writers are pretty pissed to find out that chatgpt was skimming through paywalled content.

Fine them out of existence. If they deliberately skirt the rules in the past, they will continue to do so in the future We have to stop letting companies build ridiculous amounts of money by ignoring laws and regulations
