I wish that was Apple hiring, to officially support Linux on macOS day 1.

Nice to hear. He does some of the heaviest lifting under the hood, the stuff that prevents the software from collapsing under its own weight. He is probably getting a good raise from this and he deserves it. (I made some minuscule contributions to Mesa, but have been following the project for many years)
