> New Twitter will be hostile to anyone queer, or non-white, or slightly to the left of Ronald Reagan. Yes, but if you left twitter and never returned, have you tested your hypothesis in any way? How hostile is it? Because when I login I see tweets from a few youtubers I watch, the guy who made my favorite font, some excellent aesthetics collage posters, a few of the remaining local urbanists that didn't jump ship, and some memey shitposters. Are there slightly more chuds/bot in the replies throwing slurs around or spinning wild, insane conspiracy theories? Sure. But you can just ignore them. Mute words. Blocking still works too. I mean, I get it that some people just don't want to see that and that's fine, but I don't use threads or instagram either, and I don't also make sweeping generalizations about the people who use it because I literally couldn't know. When you run a bar, yes, you can't let a single Nazi in. But I don't run a bar. I'm scrolling memes and old Sun workstation glamour shots while I take a shit. It's not that serious.

It is truly amazing how hostile some of these "free thinkers" are to ideas and speech that are in conflict with their own. Kind of makes you wonder who is actually fascist.
