I was expecting that this would increase battery performance, but it seems to mostly offer new and exciting ways to drain your battery faster.

Wait till they block adb access like that for "security" reasons.. The situation is hopeless here, market forces didn't work, the only solution is regulation, but the CCP apparently doesn't care about corporations holding that much power (China ROMs are actually much worse when it comes to adware/bloatware in the OS), it's disappointing, who else can regulate OS-level ads and blantant planned obsolescence out of existence?
