Glad to see work on Hurd pick up more this past few years. I doubt it will ever be mainstream, but I’ve always found the concept interesting

Hurd is still alive!!! (well, kind of) So sad this project never got enough traction to accelerate its development pace. Maybe AI assistance will change that...

I’m less excited about Hurd than I once was, because now there’s interesting alternatives with good momentum (Redox and Genode in particular). But I’m glad it’s still moving along; it seems to be the only steadily maturing C project with this kind of approach. It may be silly to write a more secure OS in C, but I think it’s important to preserve the C lineage over time, even if it’s not at the forefront.

Very nice. This brings GNU/HURD features to about the year 1995 which is impressive for its brief 35 year existence.
