The worst consequence of LLMs is the reduction in the amount of out of touch LinkedIn posts from executives.

Sad to think how much human capital is wasted this way. Edit: especially in low-wage or less-developed countries where this loss hurts the most. Some 'slave wage' person spending their time to produce crap that wastes other people's time. All to increase a number on some CEO's dashboard. Same workers could instead be building actually useful stuff, up their skillset, contribute to their country's culture, etc etc.

It's pretty easy to vibecode a system that automatically gets news, papers, and books, has Speechify-like readers, and steps to filter out propaganda and make difficult papers easy to understand. One does not have to use social media or be exposed to that crap. The nice info is easier than ever to reach. If you start to think of information as code you run through your brain, you may want to select and sanitize what you run. Because in the end, what you read triggers what you think/feel, which influence what you do.
