BYD would need to invest in a bunch of things to enter the US market: - Lobbyists and bribes to repeal the corrupt Elon Musk protectionism - PR and marketing to increase brand trust and awareness - Homologation (country-specific changes/features) to meet all 50 states and federal standards - Crash testing - Sales/fulfillment centers - Service centers* - Parts distribution network* * Maybe combined with previous item These would be a lot of expensive things to invest in without a giant, certain upside.
