we're aware but we're also aware that it needs to be weathered. it's gonna suck but much like the pain of untethering ourselves from the US economy we acknowledge it's gonna be painful. a lot of lumber companies in canada rn have been going in and collecting fallen trees and dead bush all around populated areas and turning it into paper and cheap lumber but we suppressed fires for so long that it's gonna be a rough time for a while. turns out lightning existed long before humans and nature evolved accordingly; who'd've thunk it? lmao.

Maybe we should be doing something dramatic about this global warming thing before it's too late, yeah?

PSA: In long-term fire abstinent areas, old growth trees can be saved from excessive scorching in fires by preventatively clearing built-up debris (combustible fuel) under the canopy and beside the trunk. Shovel and/or rake.
