I'm not kidding. ``` <button data-component="IconButton" type="button" aria-haspopup="dialog" class="prc-Button-ButtonBase-9n-Xk styles-module__appHeaderButton__axedQ prc-Button-IconButton-fyge7" data-loading="false" data-no-visuals="true" data-size="medium" data-variant="invisible" aria-labelledby="_R_1b5_"><span class="GlobalNavMenuToggle-module__pancakeIcon__dE2fg" aria-hidden="true"></span></button> ```

Yes, logged in on GitHub in the Netherlands

I created a new account there and have the same thing. There are some posts about it on /r/github

It's probably to advertise the Stacked PRs feature: https://github.github.com/gh-stack Not cute..I thought something had been compromised when I initially saw it.

It is wild that amidst all these platform stability issues, GH has decided now is the time to do cutesy marketing for a new feature

Imagine being a new GitHub user and you're trying to find the menu. Realizing that you have to click on a bunch of pancakes to get where you need to go would be pretty annoying.

Why so much hate. I think this is brilliant way to announce new features! It is playful, it is nice, it is something new. Don't take it too seriously.

I did some tech support yesterday and there were 4 different search bars on the screen and several "hamburger" or "triple dot" menus. It was a nightmare trying to communicate "the search bar in the middle left menu list" and "the triple dot on the right below the search bar". Considering that Github's new target market is people who don't know how to read or code, I think this is a genius move.

It's funny to see that people here are more stressed out. Relax, this isn't going to break your production.
