So, one example of a politician losing their job at the end of the article? Not exactly making the case for the headline, considering number of words in the article. And the issue at hand, of course, is really data centers and not AI.

All my homies hate AI. It has really given us a perfect emblem of the worst capitalism has to offer, I'm not holding my breath but perhaps this backlash will precipitate further change to drive us toward a flatter economy and a society that does a better job of rejecting exploitation and concentration of power. One that more effectively serves humanity and allows us to find a much better global optimum.

Sounds like wishful thinking. Most Americans I know are furiously using LLMs in every aspect of their lives, tradesmen included.

This is hilarious delusion. Not only does America apparently hate AI (lol), but for the first time in a very long time, the American public has apparently managed to successfully mobilise and oust politicians! Plural! and a large enough number to be noteworthy!
