Oh no! They asked Americans about "others in their country" and then generalized the answer to be what Americans think about Americans. You'd have to have your head up your ** about American feelings about immigrants and asylum-seekers, let alone American illegal immigrants, to generalize the answer about "Americans" or US citizens.
